Oasis Hotel in Loreto, Baja California Sur, México, is exceptional from the atmosphere to the tropical gardens surrounding the swimming pool, the ocean front rooms and most of the spacious areas such as the Restaurant Terrace, Bar Coronado, as well as the spacious parking lot.
Ever since established in 1962, conventional materials and regional materials (teasel, wood, palm trees and stones) were utilized for Hotel construction to provide a Tropical and Regional style, protecting the natural environment and the location in front of the Sea of Cortez, that all together comes up to a true Oasis.
The strategic location at the South end of the Boardwalk (Malecon) offers the opportunity to enjoy spectacular sunsets right from your door step or a wonderful sunrise from the Terrace of the “Del Carmen” Restaurant . The Malecon is a traditional rendez-vous for the local people and a few blocks away from the historical center.
Loreto is nestled between the Sea of Cortez, the Desert and the Sierra La Giganta’s Mountains. The Desert offers an incredible variety of fauna and flora typical of this Region. Further up into the Mountains is located the Mission of San Francisco Javier built by the Jesuits shortly after the Loreto one and still very much intact. Loreto itself was the first Historical Capital of Las Californias founded by Jesuits in 1697. The Mission of our Lady of Loreto was the first Mission ever built in all Higher and Lower Peninsula of Baja California.
